Lunch With George!

It's the "Items we recommend" Store

This page lists the various gadgets and other goodies which George and I own, once owned, or wish we did. If you buy them through this web site, we get a small commission!

I love the Dreamcast! My biggest regret is that I discovered this platform just as it was dying. Still, if you haven't tried it, you have oodles of games to play for the first time. The graphics are excellent, and games sell for less than $10.

George bought one of these to try with Sega GT on his Dreamcast, and I borrowed it for a weekend. It is MUCH better than my MadKatz wheel. It has a nice touch, and the pedals work very well.

This laptop is the perfect size for, well, your lap! The rugged plastic case stands up to quite a bit of abuse, and the 1024x768 display is crisp and bright.

Naturally, it runs Max OS X, whose beautiful Aqua interface and robust Unix underpinnings make it the ultimate geek machine. I only replaced my iBook with a Powerbook G4 because the iBook wouldn't drive my 17-inch digital video LCD display!

My wife Teri ordered one of these beauties the day they were announced. This unique machine combines elegance of design with surprising power, and takes up virtually no space on your desk. The highly adjustable display can be positioned right where you want it, and the passive cooling of the system keeps your office quiet.

Unless you need a server or a machine with four PCI slots, this is the perfect personal computer.
